Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units via radio/computer systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident records
- Provide critical information to responding officers
- Operate CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency responses
- Remain calm during crisis situations and prioritize tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Valid Texas driver's license (or obtain within 30 days)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during application)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction
- Ability to work rotating shifts/nights/holidays
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions
