Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed records using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during emergencies
- Multi-task during high-stress situations while maintaining composure
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified through testing)
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship and valid Indiana driver's license
- No felony convictions (misdemeanors reviewed case-by-case)
