Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Process warrants, restraining orders, and other law enforcement documents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Train on departmental protocols and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with multi-tasking in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with software systems
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and Indiana residency
