Responsibilities
- Receive intensive paid training in emergency call protocols, radio communications, and multi-agency coordination
- Process 911 calls with calm professionalism during critical incidents
- Operate CAD systems and maintain accurate incident documentation
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during emergency situations
- Adhere to NIMS and TCOLE standards for public safety communications
- Maintain situational awareness during high-pressure scenarios
- Support community outreach initiatives for public safety education
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and polygraph
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Valid Texas driver's license at time of hire
