Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems and radio communications
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and records
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Operate dispatch equipment including radios, telephones, and computer systems
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Complete comprehensive training modules to achieve certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM
- Valid California Driver's License
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- No felony convictions
- Basic computer proficiency
