Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Verify passenger identification and boarding documents against flight manifests
- Respond to security alerts and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain accurate screening logs and report security incidents
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing TSA regulations
- Participate in continuous training on security protocols and emerging threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check, drug screening, and medical evaluation
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn TSA systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress environments
