Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and medical units during emergencies
- Maintain detailed radio logs and computer-aided dispatch records
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Operate multiple communication systems and emergency software
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Complete mandatory training modules and certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction
- Ability to multitask under extreme pressure
- U.S. citizenship and valid Arizona driver's license
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and hearing test
