Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy using CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical emergencies or active situations
- Operate radio equipment and maintain constant situational awareness
- Collaborate with multi-jurisdictional agencies during major events
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong multitasking and de-escalation skills
- Experience with computer-aided dispatch systems (CAD) or willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship and Kentucky residency required
