Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Enter and maintain detailed incident reports in CAD systems
- Provide critical information to field units and other agencies
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-stress situations
- Adhere to all NJSP protocols and department procedures
- Complete required training modules and certification exams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New Jersey driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be US citizen or legal resident
