Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize 911 calls with exceptional accuracy and compassion
- Operate CAD systems and radio equipment to coordinate emergency responses
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical situations
- Collaborate with police, fire, and EMS teams during multi-agency incidents
- Complete mandatory training modules to achieve full dispatcher certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer dispatch systems
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
