Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize incoming emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and speed.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date incident logs and records in accordance with departmental policies.
- Provide real-time information to field personnel and coordinate multi-agency responses.
- Monitor radio frequencies for officer safety and departmental status updates.
- Assist callers in distress by providing critical instructions and emotional support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a background check.
