Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and professionalism
- Operate multi-line phone systems and radio dispatch equipment
- Accurately document incident details in CAD systems
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions to callers
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Participate in ongoing skills training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 40 WPM typing speed (verified test required)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- 18 years of age or older
