Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio protocols
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with fire/EMS agencies during multi-agency responses
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers in crisis
- Monitor radio channels and maintain situational awareness
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Georgia driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, CAD systems)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
