Responsibilities
- Answer and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations using radio and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Enter and maintain accurate incident reports, citations, and data in departmental databases.
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to provide real-time information to officers.
- Provide information and assistance to the public regarding police services, traffic conditions, and city programs.
- Relay critical information to responding officers and coordinate multi-agency responses.
- Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling and file maintenance, as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Arizona Class D Driverβs License and a clean driving record.
- Excellent typing skills (minimum 35-40 WPM) and computer proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph, and medical examination.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
