Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update real-time data in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations while multitasking effectively
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in computer systems and multitasking
- Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
