Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism
- Operate radio equipment to dispatch police units effectively
- Enter and update information in computer-aided dispatch systems
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and activities
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement and public safety agencies
- Complete mandatory training programs to become fully certified
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Must be 18+ years old and legally eligible to work in the US
- Valid Arizona driver's license upon hire
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
