Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals, regulations, and budget impacts for District agencies
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on urban policy issues
- Prepare concise policy briefs and recommendations for senior leadership
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives on housing, transportation, and economic development
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting local government operations
- Present findings to City Council members and agency directors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Knowledge of DC government structure and regulatory processes
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
