Responsibilities
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages according to address and route.
- Load and unload trucks and carriers to ensure timely processing.
- Operate mail processing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Deliver mail to residential and business customers in the Long Beach area.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and bending as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to USPS safety standards.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold legal permanent residency status.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) required.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy and attention to detail.
