What You'll Do
As a Postal Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring mail reaches its destination safely and on time. Your duties will include sorting mail, processing packages, and delivering mail to residential and business customers.
Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail with speed and accuracy.
- Deliver mail and packages to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Collect and process payments for Express Mail and Priority Mail items.
- Interact with the public professionally and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of postal vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all postal safety regulations and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have legal right to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Valid driver's license (commercial preferred but not always required for entry-level).
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances.
