Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages according to address and priority standards.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Safely load and unload trucks and vans, ensuring mail is secure for transport.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with mail inquiries and provide a professional, friendly service experience.
- Equipment Operation: Operate postal equipment and hand trucks to move heavy parcels and mail trays.
- Route Management: Follow delivery routes efficiently while adhering to strict timeframes and safety protocols.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for long periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Driving (Optional): Valid driver’s license is a plus but not required for all entry-level sorting positions.
