- Write and distribute press releases, newsletters, and digital content
- Manage media relations and serve as primary VA spokesperson for Charlotte region
- Organize community outreach events and veteran-focused forums
- Analyze public sentiment and adjust messaging strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders to align communications
- Monitor compliance with federal communication regulations and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 3+ years of professional communications or public affairs experience
- Expertise in federal regulations (e.g., Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for diverse audiences
- Experience with digital media platforms and content management systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
