Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for disease prevention and health promotion
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives including pandemic preparedness and natural disaster recovery
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Manage grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Liaise with local health departments, hospitals, and community organizations
- Supervise cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to public health professionals
- Prepare detailed reports for legislative bodies and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience with 2+ in leadership
- Valid Indiana Public Health Administrator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in health data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Tableau)
- Proven experience managing federal/state grants and budgets exceeding $1M
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Indiana public health statutes
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement and crisis communication
