Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Oversee departmental budget allocation and grant management for federal/state funding
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives including disease outbreak protocols
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health policy recommendations
- Lead cross-functional teams of health educators, nurses, and outreach specialists
- Collaborate with state health department officials on compliance with regulations
- Manage community partnerships with healthcare providers and non-profit organizations
- Prepare detailed reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health management experience
- Valid Ohio Public Health Sanitarian certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in epidemiological software (e.g., SAS, R) and health data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant applications (CDC, HRSA) and compliance
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and public health emergency response protocols
- Excellent written communication skills for policy development and public reporting
- Ohio driver's license with reliable transportation for site visits
