Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee implementation of public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal/child health initiatives
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state public health funding sources
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze community health data to identify disparities and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Lead cross-functional teams including epidemiologists, health educators, and community outreach specialists
- Represent the city at regional health coalitions and stakeholder forums
- Ensure compliance with CO Department of Public Health & Environment regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive public health program management experience
- Expertise in grant writing and federal/state funding compliance
- Valid Colorado driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CO PHAB accreditation standards, and CDC guidelines
- Experience with health data analysis using tools like SPSS or SAS
- Strong crisis communication skills demonstrated in emergency response scenarios
- PHR or CPH certification preferred
