Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Oversee grant management, budget allocation, and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend policy interventions
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote vaccination and preventive care
- Manage cross-agency partnerships with local healthcare providers and non-profits
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state legislators and public health councils
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- California Public Health Administrator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in data analysis using tools like SPSS, SAS, or R
- Proven success in grant writing and securing federal/state funding
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and California Health & Safety Code
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English preferred)
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
