Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for state agency initiatives
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform strategic decision-making
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on cross-cutting policy challenges
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for North Carolina
- Lead stakeholder engagement processes with public/private sector partners
- Manage policy implementation evaluation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, Stata, or SPSS)
- Proven track record of translating data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with North Carolina state government operations preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level audiences
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance
