Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations for health outreach
- Manage grant-funded projects including budget oversight and progress reporting
- Conduct health education workshops on topics like vaccination, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public health boards and regulatory agencies
- Lead emergency response planning for public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
