Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health priorities and inform strategic planning
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention programs for diverse populations
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders including county commissioners and community partners
- Ensure compliance with CDC, NE DHHS, and HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state funding programs
- Maintain confidential health data systems with rigorous security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health data analysis or program management
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance requirements
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
