Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends, disparities, and emerging public health threats
- Develop evidence-based health intervention strategies for vulnerable populations
- Collaborate with federal/state agencies on grant-funded health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for city council
- Lead community health assessments and stakeholder engagement activities
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal public health regulations
- Manage health program budgets and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Bachelor's with 5+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 3 years of public health analysis experience in government or non-profit setting
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of CDC guidelines, Healthy People 2030 objectives, and local health priorities
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance reporting
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
