Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems for 50,000+ veterans
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran health data
- Coordinate IT infrastructure upgrades across 12+ clinic locations
- Train staff on new health information technologies and workflows
- Ensure compliance with VA IT policies and federal regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve technical workflow issues
- Lead disaster recovery planning for critical health IT systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Health Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years experience with EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- VA IT Fundamentals Certification (ITF) required
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards
- Strong project management skills with federal project methodologies
- Knowledge of VA-specific IT systems and workflows
