Responsibilities
- Analyze population health data using SQL, R, and Python to identify disease trends and risk factors
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports for public health stakeholders
- Support outbreak investigations through statistical modeling and data visualization
- Collaborate with community organizations to design targeted health interventions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and CDC data security protocols
- Present findings to senior leadership and public health committees
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using KPI tracking systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in health data analysis or epidemiological research
- Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python with data visualization libraries (ggplot2, Plotly)
- Experience with EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner) and public health surveillance platforms
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or Data Analytics (CDMP) highly desirable
- Strong understanding of health equity frameworks and vulnerable populations
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex data for non-technical audiences
