Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide emergency response plans for public health crises
- Coordinate with FEMA, CDC, and state health agencies during disaster events
- Lead cross-functional teams in mass vaccination and distribution operations
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict and mitigate health risks
- Manage public communication during emergencies across 12 languages
- Oversee $2M+ emergency response budgets and resource allocation
- Train 500+ county staff in crisis protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or Emergency Management (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years leading crisis response in government or healthcare settings
- FEMA Professional Development Program certification required
- Advanced skills in GIS mapping and emergency logistics software
- Proven track record of managing multi-agency coalitions
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
- Texas Public Health Emergency Coordinator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
