Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health intervention strategies targeting high-priority community needs
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Lead grant writing and program evaluation initiatives to secure sustainable funding
- Supervise public health outreach teams and coordinate multi-agency response efforts
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience in government or non-profit settings
- Proven expertise in health data analysis using tools like SAS, R, or SPSS
- Valid New Mexico Public Health Certification
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants ($500K+ preferred)
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish strongly preferred
