Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting Nashville's underserved populations
- Analyze complex epidemiological data using SAS/R to identify health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop grant proposals securing $500K+ in annual funding
- Lead community outreach initiatives engaging 5,000+ residents annually through health education campaigns
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health department officials
- Oversee compliance with CDC and Tennessee Department of Health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience in municipal/government settings
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R, or SPSS)
- Proven grant writing success with minimum $250K secured funding
- Tennessee Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Exceptional communication skills demonstrated through public speaking and report writing
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
