Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for infectious disease outbreaks
- Liaise with community organizations to ensure equitable resource distribution
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic response decisions
- Train county staff on emergency procedures and safety protocols
- Secure and manage emergency response budgets and resources
- Report to county officials on crisis mitigation progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation required
- Expertise in crisis communication and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and emergency management software
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work extended hours during emergencies
- Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desirable
