Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological surveillance for 5+ priority health conditions
- Analyze population health data using SAS/R/Python
- Develop evidence-based intervention strategies for underserved communities
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Prepare legislative reports and public health briefings
- Mentor junior analysts on data visualization best practices
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of epidemiological analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS/R required)
- Texas driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification (required)
- Experience with Epi-Info or similar surveillance systems
- Valid Texas Department of State Health Services clearance
- PHR or CPH certification preferred
