Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for pandemics, natural disasters, and chemical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency response drills and tabletop exercises across Tennessee's 95 counties
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict outbreak trajectories and allocate resources
- Train healthcare workers and first responders on crisis communication procedures
- Manage federal grant compliance for CDC-funded emergency preparedness programs
- Lead public risk communication campaigns during health emergencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Proficiency in GIS mapping for outbreak tracking and resource allocation
- Demonstrated success in coordinating multi-jurisdictional response efforts
- Experience with CDC/HRSA grant reporting and compliance
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance for sensitive information handling
