Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data to identify trends and inform strategic policy recommendations
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on grant-funded initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams to address emerging public health threats
- Oversee program evaluation and continuous improvement processes
- Represent the department at community health forums and intergovernmental meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant management (HRSA, CDC)
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (CPH or equivalent) preferred
