Responsibilities
- Lead emergency response operations for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Coordinate multi-agency response efforts with FEMA, hospitals, and community organizations
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans and communication protocols
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform intervention strategies
- Conduct public health risk assessments and provide real-time guidance to leadership
- Manage resource allocation during emergency activations
- Train staff and community partners on emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Proficiency in emergency management software (e.g., EPI-INFO, EMTrack)
- Demonstrated experience with multi-agency coordination
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation abilities
- Ability to work under high-pressure conditions with tight deadlines
- Valid Indiana driver's license
