Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Lead multi-agency task forces involving healthcare facilities, first responders, and community organizations
- Develop and implement public health communication strategies for diverse populations
- Monitor epidemiological data and recommend targeted interventions for high-risk communities
- Manage distribution of medical supplies, vaccines, and personal protective equipment
- Conduct community outreach to ensure equitable access to public health services
- Prepare detailed incident reports and policy recommendations for state leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable populations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret epidemiological data
- Exceptional communication abilities for crisis messaging and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and during emergencies
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
