Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement rapid-deployment protocols for infectious disease outbreaks
- Manage crisis communications with public health officials and community stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments and resource allocation for emergency scenarios
- Ensure compliance with FEMA and CDC emergency management standards
- Train public health staff on emergency response procedures and equipment
- Submit real-time incident reports to state emergency operations center
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Proficiency with emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work 24/7 rotations during declared emergencies
- Experience with Harris County public health infrastructure preferred
