Responsibilities
- Lead emergency response operations during public health crises (outbreaks, natural disasters, etc.)
- Coordinate cross-agency collaboration with FEMA, CDC, and local healthcare providers
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies
- Manage data collection, analysis, and real-time reporting systems
- Conduct public risk communications and community outreach
- Train emergency response teams on protocols and procedures
- Secure and deploy critical medical resources during crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years experience in emergency response or public health crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300+)
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., Epi-Info, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in multi-agency coordination
- Valid California driver's license and ability for 24/7 on-call deployment
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
