Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations for public health crises (disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Develop and implement community health intervention strategies
- Liaise with local hospitals, EMS, and federal agencies (CDC/FEMA)
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health decisions
- Manage grant-funded emergency preparedness programs
- Train public health staff and community partners
- Prepare compliance reports for state and federal authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years emergency management or public health experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and health data visualization
- Strong crisis communication skills
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergencies
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
