Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response efforts with local, state, and federal partners
- Lead community outreach initiatives during health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health interventions
- Manage grant-funded emergency response programs and budgets
- Train public health staff and community responders in crisis management
- Prepare and submit emergency response reports to regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Current certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300 or higher)
- Proficiency with emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC, EMTrack)
- Valid Nevada driver's license and ability to work irregular hours during emergencies
- Experience managing federal grant programs (FEMA, CDC)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health privacy regulations
