Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies during incidents
- Manage data collection and reporting for emergency surveillance systems
- Train staff and community partners on emergency response procedures
- Lead public communication during health emergencies
- Conduct post-incident evaluations and process improvements
- Secure and manage emergency response resources and supplies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health or emergency response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent preferred
- Strong knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Experience with crisis communication strategies
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Proficiency in emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC)
