Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies aligned with LA's 2040 Health & Wellness Strategy
- Analyze complex health data to identify disparities and propose targeted interventions for underserved communities
- Collaborate with state/federal agencies to secure funding for health infrastructure projects
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emergency response protocols and pandemic preparedness
- Present policy recommendations to the Board of Supervisors and legislative committees
- Manage $2M+ grant portfolios for community health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sector
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- CHES/MPH certification preferred
- Clear background check and fingerprinting required
