Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations during public health crises (e.g., disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Develop and implement county-wide emergency preparedness plans in compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with hospitals, EMS, and community organizations for unified crisis response
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health interventions and resource allocation
- Train county staff and community partners on emergency protocols and risk communication
- Manage grant-funded emergency response programs and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- Serve as primary liaison between county leadership and state/federal health agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) and NIMS compliance
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-agency responses during high-pressure situations
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency software
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
- Texas driver's license and ability to work extended hours during emergencies
