Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform real-time decision-making
- Train community partners and frontline healthcare workers in response protocols
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource distribution networks
- Liaise with federal, state, and local stakeholders during incidents
- Conduct post-incident evaluations and recommend systemic improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent preferred
- Advanced knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Experience with GIS mapping for resource allocation
- Exceptional crisis communication skills
- Ability to work 24/7 during declared emergencies
