Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for public health crises (pandemics, natural disasters, etc.)
- Coordinate with FEMA, CDC, and local healthcare systems during activations
- Lead training programs for county staff and community volunteers
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation protocols
- Conduct post-incident reviews and update response procedures
- Serve as primary liaison between county leadership and emergency response teams
- Prepare federal grant applications and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or crisis coordination
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Strong knowledge of FEMA/NIMS protocols and public health regulations
- Exceptional communication skills for cross-agency collaboration
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergency activations
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Experience with grant writing for federal/state funding programs
