Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations during public health crises (e.g., disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans aligned with CDC and FEMA guidelines
- Liaise with healthcare providers, community organizations, and state/federal agencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform response strategies and resource allocation
- Manage public communication campaigns to ensure transparent and accurate information dissemination
- Train staff on emergency protocols and conduct regular drills
- Secure and distribute critical supplies (PPE, vaccines, medications) during emergencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Proven ability to manage multi-agency projects under pressure
- Expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, GIS mapping)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable populations
